I am a Full Professor of Economics at University of Pittsburgh, and formerly an Associate Professor of economics at University of Oxford. My research is in the areas of Behavioral Economics, and Labor Economics broadly defined. Much of my work focuses on the interaction of monetary incentives with human psychology, in the context of the workplace, health decisions, and personal finance. I also do basic research in behavioral economics, mainly on heterogeneity in individual preferences regarding risk, time, and social interactions. My research uses a variety of methodologies, including field experiments, laboratory experiments, survey measures, and analysis of personnel data.Personal Website
