Drei Fragen an Joshua Dean
Joshua T. Dean
ImageI am an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I research the interaction of poverty and cognition using primarily randomized controlled trials. Under this broad agenda, my research can be grouped into three main categories. First, I am interested in how the conditions of poverty shape cognitive development by affecting human capital investment. Second, I am interested in how environments of poverty impede cognition. Finally, I am interested in how cognitive processes may impede poverty alleviation. I hope that by improving our understanding of these relationships, my research can provide guidance to policy makers on the best ways to alleviate poverty.
